Hurricane Webinar 2020

A free webinar on hurricanes was offered to grades 4 through 6 on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The webinar featured forecasters from the National Hurricane Center speaking about hurricane science.

This webinar is presented by the Hurricanes: Science and Society (HSS) Team at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography (URI/GSO) in partnership with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Hurricane Center (NHC).

The purpose of these webinars is to raise understanding and awareness of hurricanes, hurricane hazards, and hurricane preparation. The webinar is approximately 1 hour, including the Q&A.
