Dr. Rick Knabb
Assessing Your Risk - Rick Knabb, The Weather Channel

Dr. Rick Knabb is the tropical weather expert at The Weather Channel. He previously worked as a Senior Hurricane Specialist at the National Hurricane Center and served as Director of Operations of the Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC) and NWS Forecast Office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dr. Knabb was just appointed as the Director of the National Hurricane Center, effective June 4, 2012.

Brandon Bolinski
Preparation to Response and Recovery - Brandon Bolinski, FEMA - Region IV Hurricane Program Manager

Brandon has been employed by FEMA Region IV in Atlanta, Georgia since July 2005. He works as the Hurricane Program Manager within the Operations Planning Branch, Response Division. The main day-to-day role is to support the hurricane prone states in the southeast. Brandon assists the states and other partners with planning issues, evacuation processes, and training. He also assists with administering and directing FEMA supported programs such as HURREVAC and Hurricane Evacuation Studies (HES). During hurricane threats, Brandon serves as a risk analyst in the Regional Response and Coordination Center and a Hurricane Liaison Team member at the National Hurricane Center. Brandon started his career as a Meteorologist/Hazard Planner for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and then was employed as a Forecaster with the Tallahassee National Weather Service Office.
